RRC ER Eastern Railway Act Apprentice
Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates who are Indian Nationals for training in Workshops and Divisions of Eastern Railway as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time. Applications must be submitted online and no other mode of submission of applications would be entertained.

The online link will be live on the official website of RRC-ER from 27/09/2023 onwards and would remain live upto 26/10/2023. The candidates should click on the live link and fill up their application forms as per instructions of this notification.
Eligibility Conditions of Act Apprentice
A. AGE:
i. The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age. The age as recorded in the Matriculation certificate issued from a government recognized Board / Authority or the birth certificate issued from a government recognized authority shall only be reckoned for the purpose. No other document like horoscope, affidavits, birth extract from Municipal Corporation, service records and like will be accepted.
ii. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidat
B. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and should also possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
C. MEDICAL FITNESS:
i. A person shall be eligible for being trained under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time, if he or she satisfies the minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed in the aforesaid act and rules.
ii. In accordance with Railway Board letter No. E(MPP)/2009/6/14, candidates have to bring a medical certificate at the time of document verification in a prescribed format as per Apprentice Act, 1961 and para 4 of Apprenticeship rules, 1992 (as amended from time to time).
iii. The medical certificate should be signed by Government authorized doctor (Gaz.), not below the rank of Asst. Surgeon of Central/State Hospital. The format of such certificate will be as uploaded on the notice board of official website of Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway, Kolkata
Application Fees of Act Apprentice
i. Application fees (non-refundable) is Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred) only. No fee, however, is to be paid by the SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates).
ii. The payment of fees will have to be made online through ‘Payment Gateway’ available with online Application Form while filling up the online Application Form. The payment can be made by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking etc. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidate.
At times, there may be server issues because of huge rush, which may affect the online payment system. In such scenario, the candidate needs to login fresh and attempt again.
iii. During submission of online application, a registration number will be issued to each applicant; candidates are advised to reserve/note their Registration Number.
How to Apply for Act Apprentice?
** Candidates are required to apply RRC Eastern Railway ONLINE Application for Apprentice 2023-24 only depending on their eligibility which is governed by the ITI Trade & type of disability etc. More than one Application will lead to summary rejection of all the applications.
** Modification of Application: Kindly ensure that the application is filled in correctly.
** No physical copy of the application is required to be sent to RRC.

Pre-requisites for Applying Online:
** Candidates must have a valid email ID and a Mobile Number which should be kept active till the completion of the process. All the communications will be through email / SMS only.
** Keep ready a scanned / digital copy of one recent passport size colour photograph (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, 20 KB to 50 KB size) of yours , Signature and Left Hand thumb impression file in JPG/JPEG format, 100 dpi, 10 to 40 kb and relevant documents(.pdf only) file size should not be less than 100 KB and not more than 300 KB are allowed to be uploaded by the system.
NOTE:Application is not complete unless the application is submitted, photograph/signature is uploaded and fee (where applicable) is paid by candidates. Acknowledgment is purely provisional, subject to scrutiny.
Step-by-step instructions:
** Click on ‘NEW REGISTRATION’ to apply to RRC Eastern Railway Apprentice 2023-24.
** Please go through the available training slots vis-a-vis your ITI Trade thoroughly and select the Units accordingly. It should not happen that you select a unit where there is no training slot requirement for your ITI Trade.
In such a situation, your application may eventually become meaningless, as you would not be allowed to make any changes after the final submission. Moreover, you are also not allowed to make multiple applications, which will lead to rejection of your application summarily
The stages in registration are as follows:
Preliminary Stage – I :Select Trade and Fill up Candidate’s basic details including email id/ mobile No. etc. and Type of Disability (if any) and confirm.
Preliminary Stage – II :An Email will be sent to the registered email id mentioning the registraiton number.
Unit Preference’s Stage– III :Login with your registration number and password and select your Unit(s) in order of preference.
Documents Uploading Stage – IV :Upload Photograph, Signature, Left Hand Thumb impression and relevant documents, if any.
Payment Stage – V :Payment of Application Fees of Rs.100( if applicable)
In the Preliminary Registration (Stage – I) : select the Trade from the drop-down list, fill in the details like Name, Father’s name, Mothers name Date of birth, Community, Address, Email Id, Mobile number and other details related to the 8th/10th/SSLC and ITI etc.
In Stage – II : a Registration Number is generated and the same is sent to the registered email id. Candidates will not be able to proceed to the next stage if they have not given a valid email id.
In Stage – III : you need to select your Unit(s) in order of Preference.
In Stage – IV : you need to upload scanned photograph of size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, size between 20 KB to 50 KB and scanned signature & Left hand thumb impression file in JPG/JPEG format, 100 dpi, size between 10 kb to 40 kb and relevant documents(.pdf only) file size should not be less than 100 KB and not more than 300 KB are allowed to be uploaded by the system.
In Stage – V : After the final submission, you can make the payment of Rs.100 as Application Fee (if applicable) you can print out the application for reference. The application printout is NOT to be sent to RRC.
Please note that the data once entered cannot be modified. Therefore, candidate should make these entries very carefully after carefully reading the Notification and the instructions. Therefore extreme caution is advised before submission.
Payment can be made using one of the following Online payment modes only:
** Credit/Debit Cards, Net banking Candidates can pay through Credit/Debit cards and Net banking of various banks. Transaction charges and Service Tax will be extra.
** E Wallets such as Jio etc. Transaction charges and Service Tax will be extra.
** Candidate can choose one of the options and proceed with the payment.
