RRB Recruitment Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post mentioned in the table below. Applications (complete in all respects) must be submitted ONLINE ONLY latest by 23.59 hours of 19.02.2024. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the prescribed educational and technical qualifications for the post on or before the closing date for submitting application against this CEN. Candidates waiting for final results of prescribed educational/technical qualifications are not eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted ONLINE only through the official RRB websites listed in below. Candidate can apply to only one RRB and Only one application per candidate will be accepted for the notified post in this CEN.

Age Limit of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot
AGE LIMIT (as on 01.07.2024): 18 to 30 years
Age Relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categories / communities in the table below are applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates.
** SC & ST candidates 5 Years
** OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates 3 Years
** Ex-servicemen candidates who have put in more than six months service after attestation
Ex-servicemen (UR & EWS) 3 years (after deduction of length of service from age)
Ex-servicemen (OBC-NCL) 6 years (after deduction of length of service from age)
Ex-servicemen (SC & ST) 8 years (after deduction of length of service from age)
Educational/Technical Qualifications of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot
A) Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air- Conditioning Mechanic.

Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above
(OR)
B)Matriculation / SSLC plus three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering
(OR)
Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.
Examination Fee of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot
Candidates will have to pay the prescribed fee as per their community/category detailed below:
** For all candidates (except categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2).
Out of this fee of Rs 500/-, an amount of Rs 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st Stage CBT. Rs 500/-
** For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC). (Caution to Candidates: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS) Rs 250/-
This fee of Rs 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.
NOTE: Only candidates who attend CBT-1 will get a refund of their examination fee as mentioned above.
Modes Of Fee Payment:
a) Only ONLINE fee payment through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI will be accepted. All applicable service charges shall be borne by the candidate.
b) Fee can be paid by the candidates through ONLINE mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode.
c) Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained.
How To Apply for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot?
(a) Candidates must read all information and instruction carefully before filling the ONLINE application to prevent mistakes.
(b) Candidates must first ‘Create an account’ for this CEN through the link given in the official RRB websites at para 13 (f) below. They must have an active personal mobile number and a valid email ID for receiving OTPs for account creation. No change in details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and email ID) will be permitted later.
(c) Candidates are allowed to choose only one RRB and submit only one ONLINE Application for the notified post through the official RRB websites listed in Para (f) below.
(d) Mandatory Scanned Documents to be kept ready before filling the application:
(i) Recent, clear colour passport size photograph (against a plain white background) of the candidate in JPEG image (size 30 to 70 KB) – without wearing dark glasses and/or cap.
Note: Candidates must have at least 12 (twelve) copies of the same photograph for future use during the recruitment process.
(ii) Scanned JPEG image of candidate’s signature in running handwriting (size 30 to 70 KB)
(iii) SC/ST Certificate (only for candidates requesting free pass for train travel) in in PDF format (upto 500kb)
(e) Candidates can also use the services of the Common Services Centre, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India under the Digital India initiatives for submitting ONLINE applications. The Common Services Centre (CSC) scheme is a part of the National eGovernance Plan (NeGP) of the Government of India and is managed at each village panchayat level by a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE).
** There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in the ONLINE submission of the Application Form and payment of fee through e-wallet.

(g) The onus of proving the validity of the information submitted in the ONLINE application with original documents, will lie on the candidates.
General Guidelines For Submission Of Online Application:
After Creating an account, please follow the instructions for filling up the ONLINE application.
(a) Candidates must fill the ONLINE application form with correct information and re-check before submission.
(b) Applicant will not be able to make any correction in the ONLINE application after submission of the application.
(c) Medium of Examination:
Questions for CBT-1 and CBT-2 will be available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages (viz., Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu).
Accordingly, candidates must choose their medium of examination from any one amongst those listed in the ONLINE application form. CBT-1 and CBT-2 questions will be displayed in the language opted and in English. However, CBAT will be conducted only in English and Hindi.
(d) After submission of application, candidate will be directed to opt for the mode of payment of examination fee as explained in para 7.1 and complete the payment process.
(e) Finally, acceptance of ONLINE application will happen only after receiving confirmation of fee payment. The applicant will receive a confirmation on successful payment through email & SMS.
