OSEPA Junior Teacher (Schematic) Recruitment
OSEPA on behalf of School & Mass Education Department will publish an advertisement in widely circulated Odia & English daily newspapers inviting online applications from intending candidates for engagement as Junior Teacher (Schematic).
A Junior Teacher (Schematic) becomes eligible to be a Junior Teacher after three years of continuous and satisfactory service. Their six years of engagement as mentioned above will be co- terminus with that of Samagra Sikshya scheme till their absorption in the regular Elementary cadre.
Eligibility of OSEPA Junior Teacher (Schematic)
Candidates securing percentage of marks in their academic qualification as per the eligibility mentioned below can apply for the online computer-based test for engagement as Junior Teacher (Schematic). The percentage of marks secured by the candidates in aggregate out of the total marks will be taken into consideration for eligibility.
1. (i) CATEGORY-1 (For Classes I to V)
(a) Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2002.
OR
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year Diploma in Elementary Education ( B.El.Ed.)
OR
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
AND
b. Pass in the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-I (OTET-I)
c. Candidates must have Odia as MIL up to class-X or pass in odia language test equivalent to Matric standard conducted or declared equivalent by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha except for the candidates as mentioned under Para 2.
(ii) CATEGORY-2 (For Classes VI to VIII)
a. Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year B. A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
OR
Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three- year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
AND
b. Pass in Odisha Eligibility Test-II (OTET-II)
c. Candidates must have odia as MIL up to class-X or pass in odia language test equivalent to Matric standard conducted or declared equivalent by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha except for the candidates as mentioned under Para 2.
2. In order to be eligible for Urdu/Bengali/Telugu Junior Teacher (Schematic), candidates must have passed Urdu/ Bengali/Telugu as the case may be as MIL up to High School Certificate (HSC) standard. Since their engagement is likely to be held in the bilingual schools, such candidates shall produce a certificate from the Head Master of the concerned school to the effect that she/he has passed HSC examination in odia medium.
3. Persons with Diploma in Education (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment, an NCTE recognised 6- month Special Programme in Elementary Education.
4. Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC, ST, SEBC and PwDs.
5. Candidates can apply in Category-1, in category-2 or both as per their eligibility. In case a candidate applies for both the categories, she/he will have to exercise irrevocable option of preference (between category 1 and 2) for engagement at the time of submission of application.
How to Apply for OSEPA Junior Teacher?
I. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID & Mobile No. and must ensure that, it is active during the entire recruitment process. Application No., User ID, Password and all other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID & Mobile No. Please ensure that email sent to this mail box is not redirected to your junk/spam folder.
II. OSEPA will not be responsible for non-receipt of information due to fill up of Incorrect mobile No. or E-Mail ID.
III. Candidate should take utmost care in furnishing / providing the correct details while filling-up the on-line application. Candidate CAN EDIT THE INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION.
IV. Application once submitted cannot be edited / withdrawn
PART-I (Registration) :
A. The candidate should fill up all the desired information i.e. Post Applied for, Candidate’s Name, E-Mail ID, Mobile Number, etc. correctly.
B. Sign-up by filling-up Post Applied for; Category; Candidate’s Name, Mobile Number and E-Mail ID.
** After clicking SUBMIT button / tab, the candidate shall receive Application No. (User ID) & Password on their registered E-mail ID and on mobile number through SMS.
** The candidate can proceed to Part-II of the application form through the tab on top right corner or has to Click “Log Out” tab (given on top right corner) and re-log in for Part-II.
Note: Mere completion of registration process, that is Part-I will not entail completion of filling up of application until the Part-II is duly completed in all respect and submitted. PART- PART-II PART-II (Completion of online Application form)
C. After signing in, candidate has to Re-login and click on “Go to Application Form” icon at top right corner, select his/her category and other mandatory details and complete Personal Details, Qualification Details, Upload photo & Scanned signature.
D. Instructions regarding scanning of Photograph and Signature: Candidates should upload the scanned (digital) image of their photograph and signature in Jpg/jpeg format, as per the process given below:
i. Photograph Image:
** Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture on light background (not older than 03 Months).
** Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
** The size of the scanned image should be within 50 kb to 100 Kb in jpg / jpeg format only. Less than 50 kb or more than 100 kb and other than jpg / jpeg shall not be accepted by the software.
ii. Signature image:
** The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ink pen.
** The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
** Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page.
** Size of file should be within 50 kb to 100 Kb in Jpg / jpeg format only. Less than 50 kb or more than 100 kb and other than jpg / jpeg shall not be accepted by the software.
** CLICK PREVIEW Button to view the details entered.
** Please ensure that all aspects of the application and Photograph / Signature are correct in all respect before submitting.
** Please note that candidate cannot Edit/Modify their application once they click SUBMIT Button.
E. Kindly note that the application has two parts. Only after completing both part I and Part II, the application of the candidate shall be considered submitted.
F. Once the application is submitted, candidates are requested to download their application form, keep it with them for future references.
