How To Check NSDL PRAN Application Status?
At the time of submission of the PRAN application, POP-SP shall give you a receipt number. After that you can track the status of your PRAN application.

Go to track your application status link as shown below.
Here you can find 3 search criteria :
** New Registered PRAN
** Re-issued PRAN
** Re-issued I-PIN/T-PIN
Step 1 : Please select one search criteria at a time.
Step 2 : Enter PRAN
Step 3 : Enter PPAN
Step 4 : Enter Captcha
You can refresh it when required
Step 5 : Click Submit Button
Also you can reset all if anything typed wrongly.
How to Join in NPS?
Steps to Join in NPS:
If you are between the ages 18 to 60 you can procure your PRAN application form from any of the Point of Presence – Service Providers (POP-SP) you wish to register with.
You can also procure the PRAN application form from our website.
There will be various types of forms available.
** Central Government Forms
** State Government Forms
** Central Autonomous Body Forms
** State Autonomous Body Forms
** All Citizen of India Forms
** Corporate Forms
** NPS Lite Forms
Details to be Filled in PRAN application form :
** Photograph
** Signature
** Mandatory details
** Scheme Preference Details etc
Then submit KYC documentation with respect to proof of identity and proof of address.
Submit PRAN application form to your nearest Point Of Presence – Service Provider (POP-SP)
You can go to your nearest POP-SP and submit the PRAN application along with the KYC documents. PRAN card will be sent to your correspondence address by CRA.
Then track the application status by following the above guidelines.
Submit your first Contribution Slip :
You are required to make your first contribution (minimum of Rs 500) at the time of applying for registration to any POP-SP. For this, you will have to submit NCIS (Instruction Slip) mentioning the details of the payment made towards your PRAN account.
How To Lodge Grievance?
Go to the link of Lodge Grievance/ Enquiry available under Subscriber’s corner in the home page.
You can find three types of subcribers which will be able to lodge their grievance.

Online Retirement Adviser Registration
Go to the link of Online Retirement Adviser Registration as shown below.
Retirement Adviser means any person being an individual, registered partnership firm, body corporate, or any registered trust or society, who desires to engage in the activity of providing advice on National Pension System or other pension scheme regulated by PFRDA to prospects/subscribers or other persons or group of persons and is registered as such under these regulations
Requirements
A) For Individual Retirement Adviser :
** Aadhaar (with a mobile number registered with Aadhaar) for eKYC through OTP authentication, PAN and valid email id.
** Graduation Certificate
** NISM/FPSB Certificate/SEBI Investor Adviser-Certificate of Registration (Any One)
** Proposed business plan
** Process for risk profiling of subscribers and accessing suitability of advice
** Details of office infrastructure and communication facilities for undertaking retirement advisory services
** Credit Report (Score of more than 700, not older than 6 months).
** Copy of signature in required format for e SIGNing the application form
B) For Other than individual Retirement Adviser :
** Tax Account Number of registering entity
** PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Graduation Certificate of Directors/Partners/Proprietors, Members. Trustees etc.
** NISM/FPSB Certificate/SEBI Investor Adviser-Certificate of Registration (of representative)
** Proposed business plan and means of achieving the same
** Details of shareholding pattern of the applicant/s (shareholding of 5% and above)
** Process for risk profiling of subscribers and accessing suitability of advice
** Details of office infrastructure and communication facilities for undertaking retirement advisory services
** Credit Report (Score of more than 700, not older than 6 months). For applicants other than financial institutions and banking companies
** Assets and Liabilities/Net worth certificate issued by a Chartered Accountant not more than 6 months old along with membership number of Chartered Accountant.

New Registration :
Step 1 : Select New Registration option
Step 2 : Select Register as Individual or not
If you select Individual you are required to provide only aadhaar number
Step 3 : Enter Aadhaar Number

If you select Other than Individual, the following fileds need to be filled.
Step 1 : Enter your TAN Number

In case of Other than Individual, official Email ID of the head office should be entered

Online Filling Instructions
Instructions For Online Registration Of Retirement Adviser (Ra) On This Portal
1) Please refer the PFRDA (Retirement Adviser) Regulations 2016, carefully, before initiating registration.
2) Kindly note that registration for Retirement Adviser Individual is based on Aadhaar, whereas registration for Retirement Adviser Other than Individual (Corporates/Trusts/Proprietary Firms etc.) is based on PAN of respective entity.
3) For applicants applying for registration as Retirement Adviser Individual, Aadhaar based KYC will be done through OTP authentication. Name as per PAN will be fetched and matched with name from Aadhaar. However, in case of mismatch, applicants will be allowed to proceed and submit registration. PFRDA will take decision regarding clearance of such applications.
4) Subsequently, applicant is required to enter email ID and mobile number and submit the request.
5) Acknowledgement ID will be generated, which can be used by applicant to access incomplete registration at a later date/time.
6) As a next step, applicant will enter remaining details, upload mandatory documents and agree to declaration. (A message will pop up showing details of PFRDA’s Bank Account for NEFT).
7) Applicant will enter details of NEFT done towards payment of application fee, in “Payment Details” screen and submit the application.
8) Applicant will take print of the application, sign and send it to PFRDA along with all enclosures. Further instructions would be directly communicated by PFRDA post examining the application.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) On Retirement Adviser
Whether applicant has to upload all the documents and other details in the online process?
Yes, applicant has to upload all the mandatory documents listed in the application form and details while making online application in ‘jpeg’, ‘jpg’ or ‘pdf’ format only. Applicant should also ensure that all the required documents should be self-attested before uploading otherwise application shall be subject to rejection.
What is the validity of the certificate issued by NISM?
This certificate is valid for three years from the date of issuance
Whether RAs have to issue receipt for each type of fee recovered under RA activity?
Yes, RA has to issue receipt for each type of fee separately. Format for the same shall be made available through circular/operational guidelines for RAs.
What amount has to be submitted as a security deposit?
Individual Retirement Adviser should submit Security Deposit/Bank Guarantee of Rs. 5,000/- within 15 days from the date of receipt of Certificate of Registration (CoR) and before commencement of activities as RA.
Is there any TAT for various activities related to RA functions?
Yes, RAs shall have to discharge various activities with the stipulated timeframe as may be decided by the authority and same shall be made available through circular/ operational guidelines.
Is there any provision of penalty for late submission of renewal application?
Yes, there is a provision laving penalty for late submission of renewal application and same shall be made available through circular/ operational guidelines.
What are the activities which have to be performed by RA?
Role & responsibilities and code of conduct of RAs have been detailed in the regulations and should be adhered by the RAs.
Is it mandatory for RAs to have a tie up with the PoPs?
No, but this will facilitate smooth handling of NPS related activities like on boarding of subscribers and timely execution of various instructions of the subscribers.

Please select the bank in which you have a savings / current account that you wish to link with your NPS Account. Your KYC verification will be done by the Bank. A onetime fee of up to a maximum of Rs. 125 (plus applicable taxes) will be debited from your Bank account by the Bank as KYC authentication charges.

** Tier I is the mandatory account for long-term savings. Invest in Tier I account to avail exclusive Tax benefit upto Rs.50,000 u/s 80CCD(1B).

** Government employees who are mandatorily covered under NPS shall approach their Nodal Offices for PRAN generation
