DME Assistant Professor Recruitment
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professors of Broad Specialties in the Government Medical Colleges and Teaching Hospitals under the control of Directorate of Medical Education through the Direct Recruitment and Lateral Entry methods. Application shall be submitted online through website from 01.02.2024 to 15.02.2024 upto 11.59 pm.

Educational Qualifications of DME Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor Broad Specialties (Clinical and Non Clinical)
PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM) in concerned Specialty from the institutions recognized by MCI/NMC/DCI
Age of DME Assistant Professor
i. OC candidate should not have completed 42 years as on date of Notification
ii. EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates should not have completed 47 years as on date of Notification
iii. Physically Handicapped persons should not have completed 52 years as on date of Notification
iv. Ex-servicemen should not have completed 50 years as on the date of Notification
Selection Procedure of DME Assistant Professor
A. Selection will be based on merit and rule of reservation
B. Merit list will be prepared for all the candidates who applied and fulfilled all the eligibility conditions.
C. Selection lists will be prepared based on merit lists and Rule of Reservation issued in AP State and Subordinate Services.
D. Total Marks–100
E. 75 Marks based on the marks/ grade obtained in the qualifying degree. Those who are not having PG marks memo or Grade, percentage of marks will be taken as 50% (50% x 75 = 37.50)
a. It is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain and submit marks memos from the competent authorities where ever grades instead of marks are issued.
b. Regarding the Grades: (Marks will be considered as 75%) (As per Govt Memo No. 4296/A1/2015, Dated 22.04.2015)
1) Grade – A Distinction 75% to 85% mean 80%
2) Grade – B+ Above Average 65% to 74% mean 70%
3) Grade – B Pass 50% to 64% mean 57%
F. 10 marks based on weightage for number of years since passing qualifying examination is upto10 marks @ 1 mark per PG/Completion of PG/Super-specialty completed year.
G. 5 marks of weightage will be provided to the candidates who have completed PG/Super Specialty from Central Institutions.
H. 15 Marks to the contract service rendered in Government institutions
I. Contract service can be calculated from the date of completion of Post-Graduation (Requisite qualification) only.
A. 2.5 marks per six months in Tribal Area.
B. 2 marks per six months in Rural Area.
C. 1 mark per six months in Urban Area
J. Contract Service Certificate issued by the competent authority and signed by the Superintendent of Government Teaching Hospital/ DM & HO / DCHS shall be submitted for claiming the contract weightage. Contract weightage will not be awarded, in case of non-submission of signed certificate from the above authorities.
K. Contract weightage, if already utilized in any recruitment of state government, will not be awarded again. Candidates shall submit the declaration to that effect in the format at Annexure No. III. Non submission of declaration leads to non-entitlement of contract weightage
L. Weightage will be awarded upto 15 Marks for the candidates who rendered their services on contract basis for COVID-19 duties.
a. Contract service will be reckoned up to the date of notification as per Government Memono.4274/D1/2013, HM&FW (D1) Dept., dt.10.07.2014.
b. Spells of services will also be considered for weightage marks.
c. Contract weightage will be awarded as per G.O.Rt.No.211, HM &FW(B2) Dept., Dated 08.05.2021 and G.O.Rt.No.7 HM&FW(B2) Department Dt.06.01.2022 read with circularno.03/CHFW/2022, dated 11.02.2022 of CHFW
d. Following documents to be submitted to claim COVID-19 weightage:
1. Appointment order for COVID-19 management.
2. Monthly attendance certificates.
3. Bank statement indicating payment of monthly remuneration along with COVID-19 weightage service certificate.
4. Service certificate from the competent authority in the prescribed proforma (DMHO/DCHS/Medical Superintendent in case of GGH).
How To Apply for DME Assistant Professor?
1. Application shall be submitted online through https://dme.ap.nic.in from 01.02.2024 to 15.02.2024 upto 11.59 pm.
2. The candidates shall have to pay the application fee of Rs.1000/- for OC and Rs.500 /- for BC, SC, EWS, ST and PH candidates through payment gateway which was provided in the application module.
3. Interested candidates are requested visit the website https://dme.ap.nic.in. Candidates shall submit the application online uploading with the following certificates in support of their claim in the application.
a. Latest passport-size photo*
b. SSC Certificates (proof of date of birth)*
c. Study Certificate from 4th to10th Class. In case of study of 4th to 10th in Telangana and migrated to AP after bifurcation, then certificate from the revenue authorities to that effect as per G.O.Ms.No.132 & 133 GA (SPF&MC) Dept.13.06.2016* (proof of local candidate) (Not applicable for candidates applying under LE)*
d. Intermediate certificate*
e. MBBS Degree Certificate*
f. PG Degree Certificate/Super-Specialty degree certificate*
g. PG degree marks memo/Super-Specialty degree marks memo*
h. Senior Residency (SR) completion certificate*
i. AP Medical Council Registration Certificate*
j. In case of candidates who are presently employed with state or central Government and applying under DR, NOC from the appointing authority in the format at Annexure III*
k. In case of service candidates applying under LE, NOC from the appointing authority in the format at Annexure IV*
l. Declaration given in Annexure No. V must be submitted by the candidate duly filled and signed*.
m. Contract Service Certificate from DMHO/ DCHS /Medical Superintendent / Principal (for the period after completion of PG degree), Contract service will not be given without proper service certificate from the DMHO/ DCHS/Medical Superintendent/ Principal, given in Annexure No. II. (Not applicable for candidates applying under LE)
n. If a person belongs to Ex-serviceman category, certificate regarding the same has to be enclosed. (Not applicable for candidates applying under LE)
o. Candidates, who claim for VH/MH/HH/OH vacancy, must submit Disability Certificate to that extent, issued by concerned medical board or SADAREM.
p. Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/BC or Social Status (for candidates claiming EWS) Certificate issued by Competent authority. If caste certificate is NOT submitted, then such candidate is considered as OC.
q. Meritorious sports certificates in case of claiming the sports quota.
r. Certificate with Marks shall be mandatory upload online along with the application. Without which the application will be rejected.
s. No certificate or paper will be accepted after submission of online application.
t. No application will be accepted in any mode other than ONLINE.
