BFUHS Medical Officer (General) Recruitment
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates through University website i.e bfuhs.ac.in for the recruitment of 400 Medical Officer (General) under Deptt. of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Punjab. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted on 08/09/2024. For Eligibility, terms & conditions & other information visit university website. Eligibility of Medical Officer (General)

Basic Professional Qualification :
1. MBBS Degree from recognized University or institution or any equivalent degree recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC).
2. Registered with the Punjab Medical Council or with any duly constituted Medical Council in India.
Age:-
1. Age limit: Between 18 and 37 years as on 1st Jan., 2024.
2. Relaxation in upper age for various categories is as below:
i. SC/ BC, candidates is 5 years
ii. Physically Handicapped is 10 years
iii. Candidates for Ex-Servicemen Category, the age relaxation will be as follows:-
For recruitment to any vacancy in the State Civil Services whether reserved or not under these rules an Ex-Servicemen shall be allowed to deduct the period of his/her service in the Armed Forces of the Union from his/her actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such vacancy in the concerned Service rules, by more than 3 years, he / she shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit
iv. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45 years for Punjab Govt. and its Board/ Corporation/ Commission and Authorities employees, all States/ Central Government employees.
v. Upper age limit is also relaxable up to 40 years for Widows, Divorcees and certain other Categories of Women.
How to Apply for Medical Officer (General)?
1. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number. It should be kept active for at least 2 years. Registration number, password, and all other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID (please ensure that email sent to this mailbox is not redirected to your junk / spam folder).
2. Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details while filling in the online application. YOU CAN EDIT THE INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMISSION OF STEP-I and STEP-II. Once the form is submitted, it can’t be edited.
3. The step-by-step process for submitting the application form is given below:
Registration of Personal Details, and Contact details. Login Id and password will be sent through SMS on registered Mobile number and E-mail on registered E-mail ID only.
Please log out and re-log in to the Application Form. Fill up the Eligibility Details, Personal Details, Qualification Details, upload relevant documents and submit online form.
4. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn, neither shall be held reserved for any other recruitment nor selection process in future.
STEP-I Registration
1. Candidates agreeing to the terms & conditions may apply by clicking ‘I Agree’ checkbox given below and pressing the ‘Start’ button.
2. The candidate should fill up all the mandatory information correctly.
3. On completion of Step-I registration, a message will be received on candidate’s registered Email Id & Mobile Number conveying his/her registration details, i.e., login ID and password.
STEP-II Completion of Application form
1. After registration, candidate has to login and complete other details in Application form like Personal Details, Qualification, and Declaration etc.
2. Instructions regarding scanning of Photograph & Signature: Candidates should upload the scanned (digital) image of their photograph and signature as per the process given below. The applicant should note that only image format is acceptable:
Photograph Image:
** Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture on light background (not older than 03 months).
** Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face while capturing live photo and video.
** The size of the image should be up to 2mb in JPEG (or JPG), PNG format only.
Signature image:
** The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ballpoint/ink pen.
** The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
** Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page.
** Size of file should be up to 50kb in JPEG (or JPG), PNG format only.
After Uploading Photograph and Signature, Click on SUBMIT button for completing this Step otherwise your application would remain incomplete.
3. If more than one application is received from a candidate, the most recent (latest) application will be considered as final and all other applications made prior to the last one shall be treated as null and void.
