Credit Officer in Scale II
Educational Qualification :
1. Bachelor’s Degree from a University/ Institute with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) marks aggregate in all years / semesters recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory bodies. And
2. Professional Qualifications (Compulsory), any one: MBA (Full time) preferably in Banking/Finance Banking & Finance / Marketing / Forex / Credit from a University / Institute recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory Bodies /PGDBA/PGDBM/CA/CFA / ICWA/ Financial Risk Manager. Or
3. In case candidate does not possess any of the professional qualification, he/she may apply for the post subject to production of experience certificate of having worked in Specialized Branches/ Controlling Offices i.e. ZOS / ROS/Commercial / Corporate Credit Departments at Head and Zonal Office level for at least 3 Years in any Public/Private/ Foreign Banks / Financial Institutions. Or
4. Out of three years post- qualification experience (As mentioned in ‘Experience’) minimum two year should be as a Branch Head, in case candidate has not worked, in Specialized Branches / Controlling Offices i.e. ZOs/ROS/Commercial / Corporate Credit Departments at Head and Zonal Office in any Public/Private/ Foreign Banks / Financial Institutions.
Experience :
1. Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience as an officer and should be confirmed in service and not on contract in processing of MSME / Mid & Large Corporate proposals in Public / Private / Foreign Banks / Financial Institutions.
2. Experience should be in appraisal / assessment of Credit proposals of MSME / Medium/Large Corporates and / or working as a Branch Head.
Age Limit :
Minimum 25 years and Maximum 32 years (Relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per Government guidelines).
Credit Officer in Scale III
Educational Qualification :
1. Bachelor’s Degree from a University / Institute with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD) marks aggregate in all years semesters recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory bodies. And
2. Professional Qualifications (Compulsory), any one: MBA (Full time) preferably in Banking / Finance / Banking & Finance / Marketing / Forex / Credit from a University / Institute recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory Bodies /PGDBA/PGDBM/CA/CFA/ICWA/ Financial Risk Manager. Or
3. How To Apply for Credit Officer?
Detailed guidelines / procedures for application registration: important points to be noted before registration. Before applying online, candidates should:
1. Scan their photograph, signature, left thumb impression and the hand written declaration, ensuring that both the photograph and signature, left thumb impression, hand written declaration adhere to the required specifications as given under guidelines.
2. Left thumb impression. If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. .
3. A hand written declaration (text given below). The hand written declaration must be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only. If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.
4. The text for the hand written declaration is as follows – “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
5. The above mentioned hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. If it is written by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.
6. The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged.
7. Have a valid personal e-mail address and mobile number, which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. Bank may send call letters for the examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile no. before applying on- line and must maintain that e-mail account and mobile number.

9. Fee / Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. Bank Transaction charges for online payment of application fee /intimation fee will have to be borne by the candidate.
10. Applications once submitted will not be allowed to withdraw and fee once paid will not be refunded on any ground nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. Eligible candidate has to apply online through the Bank’s website www.bankofmaharashtra.in only. No other means/ mode of application are acceptable.
Application Procedure of Credit Officer
1. Candidates are advised to go to the Bank’s website www.bankofmaharashtra.in and click on the ‘Careers Recruitment Process Current Openings to open the link “Online application for recruitment of “Recruitment of Credit Officers in II & III Project 2023-24” and then click on the option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen.
2. To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and e-mail id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
3. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify / get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
4. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible / entertained after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION BUTTON.
5. The Name of the candidate or his / her father / husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates / Mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
6. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the Validate your details’ and ‘Proceed’ button.
7. Candidates can proceed to upload Photo, Signature, Left Thumb Impression & Hand Written Declaration as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
8. Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
9. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before COMPLETE REGISTRATION.
10. Modify details, if required, and click on ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
11. Candidates are requested to apply on-line between 23.10.2023 and 06.11.2023
Payment of Fees for Credit Officer
a. Candidates have the option of making the payment of requisite fees / intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only. Payment of fees / intimation charges through the ONLINE MODE from 23.10.2023 and 06.11.2023, no other mode of payment is acceptable.
b. After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidate should pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, by following the instructions available on the screen. The payment can be made by using debit card / credit card / Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
c. On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated; which may be printed for record. The printout of the application form should not be sent to the Bank.
d. If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please register again and make payment online. There is also a provision to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details, at later stage.
